SUMMARY:Manchester Trans + Nonbinary Stories with 603 Equality
DESCRIPTION:Listen or tell your story with 603 Equality at Manchester True Collaborative!\nIn May\, 603 Equality launched a new storytelling project in New London\, Littleton\, and the Seacoast to share trans\, nonbinary\, and intersex stories. We’re sharing stories with our immediate communities to help people understand our experiences\, and to inspire people to take action to protect our freedom\, rights\, and wellbeing. \n  \nWe are excited to announce the next storytelling event will be at Manchester True Collaborative (72 Concord St. in Manchester) on Saturday\, September 27th from 5pm to 7pm.\n\nStorytellers will share glimpses of their lives: healthcare\, schools\, transition\, challenges\, successes\, hopes\, and fears. Following individual sharing\, we will open the floor to thoughtful questions and reflections. The goal is to have these stories build increased understanding and motivate attendees to take more actions to support our local transgender and nonbinary community members. 603 Equality will follow up with local attendees for future events.\n\n\nSuggested age range: Adults and students 11 years old and up! Stories may include content related to medical content\, alcohol use\, bullying\, mental health\, and diagnosis. Reach out to 603 Equality if you have any questions – storytelling@603equality.org\n\n\nRegister for the event here: https://tinyurl.com/603stories\n\n\n603 Equality is also looking for trans\, nonbinary\, and intersex artists and poets who are interested in having their work displayed on the walls for this event! Email storytelling@603equality.org if you’re interested in displaying your work.\n\nAccessibility: Manchester True Collaborative has an elevator goes to the second floor and there is an accessible entrance on the Chestnut St side of the building (to the right if you are looking directly at the front doors of the building)\, which contains a flyer with the office number so if someone needs to be let in they can call and we can come let them in. 603 Equality strongly encourages masking for this event\, as and will have masks and pronoun pins or name tags available. \nDo you have additional accessibility needs? Email storytelling@603equality.org and 603 Equality will update this event when accessibility measures are secured.
