It’s Never Too Late To Bloom Manchester True Collaborative & Queerlective to host 2nd Pride Festival in Veterans Park

Manchester, NH Pride Parade & Festival, June 15th, 2024

Manchester, NH – Manchester True Collaborative (MTC), a program of YWCA NH, and Queerlective are excited to announce the 2024 Manchester, NH Pride Parade and Festival will be held on Elm Street and Veterans Park on Saturday, June 15th. Over 130 vendors, artists and sponsors have already signed up to participate and the event is expected to draw a large crowd.

“Manchester Pride is a wonderful celebration that brings people from the city together, to reflect, share in the accomplishments, and empower our local queer community” said MTC Co-Chair, Scott Cloutier. “This year’s theme “It’s Never Too Late To Bloom” is an all-encompassing motto for Greater Manchester. Please join in the pride festivities, encourage peers and friends to be their authentic selves, learn something new, and bloom into the individual you were meant to be.” he continued.

This year’s pride festivities come at a time when the LGBTQIA+ community finds itself under increasing attack. We continue to hear heartbreaking stories of bullying and violence against trans folks, trans & queer youth, and introduction of hundreds of anti-gay, anti-Trans bills across the United States.

“I am thrilled by the continued growth and impact of Manchester Pride for our community and beyond,” said Randall Nielsen, Founder of Queerlective. “Our collaboration with Manchester True Collaborative not only celebrates, but significantly strengthens the fabric of our community. Queerlective believes in the power of art as a profound tool for self-expression and community engagement and by incorporating art into this event we enable individuals to explore and express their identities in a supportive environment, fostering deeper connections and understanding. We are committed to enriching this celebration through creative expression, making each year more vibrant and inclusive than the last.”

This year’s Pride Month calendar is bustling with events, including an Inaugural Pride Unity Gala for Queer Organizations in New Hampshire, Fisher Cats Pride Night, Queer Open Mic night and so much more! Elm Street in Manchester will see its first ever pride parade and local businesses are encouraged to participate and raise a pride flag to bring increased visibility, collaboration and solidarity to the community. For the second year in a row, the festival location will remain at the Veterans Park location. The Parade will begin at 11:15 at the Brady Sullivan Tower and culminate at the festival grounds in Veterans Park. The festival will feature over 130 vendors & artists, interactive art with Queerlective, local queer performers, youth-focused activities and so much more!
